National AI Build-A-Thon

Friday, January 16, 20268:00 AM – 5:00 PMDaffodil Plaza, Dhaka

Bangladesh's first National AI Build-A-Thon — where thousands of innovators from across the country competed to build deployable AI solutions across five national priority domains. Organized by MillionX Bangladesh in partnership with BASIS Students Forum, Daffodil Group, Varendra University, and Metropolitan University.

On January 16, 2026, Daffodil Plaza became the epicenter of Bangladesh's growing AI movement as the nation's landmark AI hackathon convened. More than 5,000 participants took part in a powerful display of talent and ambition, competing across five national priority domains — education, agriculture, healthcare, e-commerce, and fintech — to build deployable AI solutions.

Why the Build-A-Thon Mattered

  • First nationwide AI Build-A-Thon in Bangladesh — proving local talent can build deployable AI.
  • Created a credible pipeline from learning to building to deploying real solutions.
  • Connected students, founders, and mentors across 5 national priority domains.
  • Established a public benchmark for what young Bangladeshi AI builders can achieve.

Winning Teams

Selected from 5,000+ participants through bootcamps, mentorships, and rigorous judging — these five teams earned Trailblazer recognition: Team Ginger, Team Learnify, Team NinjaAI, Team Sikkha AI, and Team Appibrium. Full team profiles are being compiled for publication.

A Special Story

One of the most talked-about moments came from Sabiha Akter Nib, a school-level student who competed alongside university teams and emerged as part of a winning group at just 12 years old — proving that age is no barrier to innovation, and embodying the spirit of MillionX: talent has no age limit.
